Smart key, intelligent key, comfort access
Makers use different names for the same idea: Toyota and Lexus smart key, Nissan and Infiniti intelligent key, BMW comfort access, Mercedes Keyless Go. The car looks for the key nearby and lets you start with a button. Each make programs differently, and some need module work first.
The emergency blade
Almost every smart key has a metal blade inside for when the battery dies. Many people never get it cut. We cut it to your door lock so you can get in if the fob battery or the car battery fails.
Key not detected
If the dash says the key isn't detected, try a new fob battery and hold the fob against the start button. Most cars can read a weak key there. If that works, it's the battery. If not, the key may have lost its pairing. See push to start key not detected.

Do I need the original smart key?
No, we can make one when all keys are lost on most cars. With a working key the job is simpler.
Can you add push to start to my car?
No. We only program keys for cars that came with push to start.
