Lost every car key? We make a new one where the car is.

No spare, no original, no problem on most cars. We come to the car, make a new key from scratch and remove the lost keys from the car's memory so they can't start it again.

In short
  • We make new keys when every key is lost, on site and without the original key.
  • Lost keys are erased from the car, so whoever finds them can't drive it.
  • Available 24/7 across Metro Atlanta, including nights and weekends.
  • Most cars take under an hour. Some European cars need module work and take longer, and we say how long first.
  • A few systems are dealer only, such as Mercedes FBS4. We tell you before we come.

What to do right now

  1. Check the usual places and call the last place you were. Keys turn up more often than you'd think.
  2. If the keys may have been stolen with something that shows your address, get a new key soon and have the old ones erased.
  3. Text us the year, make and model and where the car is. We reply with the price and when we can be there.
  4. Don't book a tow to the dealer until you've checked with us. Most cars don't need it.

A longer checklist is in our guide what to do when you lose all your car keys.

How a key is made when there is no original

The metal blade is cut from the lock itself: we decode the lock or use the key code for the car. Then we connect to the car and add a new key to the immobilizer. On many European cars, the key data is stored in a module that we read first. All of that happens at the car.

When the new key is programmed, the old keys are removed from the car. If someone finds them later, they will not start the car.

Cars we handle with all keys lost

Most Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Ford, GM, Nissan, Infiniti, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Hyundai and Kia models, and most European cars: BMW, Mini, Audi, VW, Volvo, Land Rover and Mercedes with the FBS3 system (roughly 1997 to 2014, plus some 2016 to 2018 commercial vans).

A small number of newer systems can only be done by the dealer. If that's your car, we say so before anyone drives out.

What it costs

Keys start at $99. All keys lost usually costs more than a spare because there's more work at the car, and the exact price depends on the make and system. You get a firm price by text first, and it doesn't change after programming. See pricing.

FAQ

Questions about this

Can you make a car key without the original?

Yes, on most cars. We cut the key from the lock and program a new chip to the car on site.

Will the lost keys still work?

No. When we program the new key we remove the old keys from the car, so a lost or stolen key won't start it.

Do I need to tow the car to the dealer?

Usually not. We come to the car. A few systems are dealer only and we tell you that up front.

How fast can you come?

We work 24/7. Text the car and the location and we tell you when we can be there.

What if I lost the keys to a European car?

BMW, Mini, Audi, VW, Volvo, Land Rover and Mercedes FBS3 are done on site. Some need module work, which takes longer, and we tell you the time first.
