The final price depends on your year, make and model. You get a price before we drive out, and it only changes if you choose a different key shape or an original, or we find a problem with a lock or the car, which we explain first.
$99–$250covers most car keys. Keys without buttons start at $99, and a typical key with a standard remote is about $160. We don't quote low on the phone and invent extras once we're at the car.

Prices are approximate and based on a standard remote. If you want a different key, such as a different shape or an original, or the job needs a lock replaced, or the car has another problem such as a faulty module or ignition, the price can change. We explain why and give you the new price before doing that work.
We use high-quality aftermarket keys by default and can source original keys at a higher price. We take cash, Zelle and cards. Jobs outside our regular area have a $250 minimum.

What we do the safe way
- We program keys the slower, safe way instead of the shortcut that can lock up a car's module.
- We test remote, keyless entry and start before we call the job done.
- When a car is dealer-only, we say so before you pay for anything.
- No surprise fees once we arrive. The price only changes if you choose a different key shape or an original, a lock needs replacing or the car has a problem, and you approve it first.
What we don't do
So you don't waste a call
- Moving a chip or board into a new shell you bought.
- Installing push to start, alarm or aftermarket remote start systems.
- Mercedes and Sprinter with FBS4, neither spare keys nor all keys lost. That system goes to the dealer. FBS3 cars, roughly 1997 to 2014 and some 2016 to 2018 commercial vans, we do.

Can you make a key if I lost every key?
Yes, for most cars. We make a new key at the car without the original and erase the lost keys from the car's memory. Mercedes with FBS4 is dealer-only, both for spare keys and all keys lost. Mercedes with FBS3, roughly 1997 to 2014 plus some 2016 to 2018 commercial vans, we can do. Send us the year and model and we'll tell you which one you have before you book.
How much does a car key replacement cost?
Most car keys cost $99 to $250. Keys without buttons start at $99, a key with a standard remote is about $160, smart push-to-start keys run $180 to $250, and European cars start at $350. These are approximate. If you want a different key shape or an original key, a lock needs replacing or the car has another problem, the price can change, and we tell you before doing that work.
Is a locksmith cheaper than the dealership?
Usually, by a wide margin. We also come to the car, so you skip the tow and the service appointment when no key works.
Do you program key fobs I bought online?
Yes. Programming is $125, and cutting the blade is $25 more if the key needs it. Online fobs sometimes have the wrong chip or frequency, so send us a photo first. There's no warranty on keys we didn't supply.
Do I need to bring the car to you?
No. We're fully mobile and do the work wherever the car is parked in Metro Atlanta.
Do you work on house and business locks?
Yes. Home and office lockouts, rekeying, lock changes and deadbolts. Text us what you need and the address area for a price.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, keys we supply come with a limited warranty. It doesn't cover broken buttons or physical damage.
Which payments do you accept?
Cash, Zelle and all major cards except Apple Pay. Card payments include tax and a processing fee; cash and Zelle don't.
